Embrace Problems
When you’re faced with problems, it’s a signal to you that something needs to be addressed. In fact, not being able to identify problems at all is far worse than knowing about and dealing with them head-on.
In business, leader(s) should expect problems. They cut through all the noise and tell you front and center what’s up — don’t shy away from them. Ignoring problems and sweeping them under the rug is a surefire way to let a benign cancer spread and metastasize into something malignant. Don’t let it spread — nip it in the bud at the first instance.
The best entrepreneurs look forward to dealing with problems because it gives them the chance to make things right, and also gives them the ability to learn more about their business, and its faults, identify those gaping holes, and seal them up ASAP.
Changing the way you perceive the cultural negativities around what problems mean can be a monumental shift in helping you be more proactive in expecting and accepting them — it’s just part of the game.
Problems should be opportunities to get better and improve.
Don’t shy away from problems. Embrace them.
